As we step into 2025, HydRegen is poised for a transformative year, building upon our commitment to revolutionise chemical manufacturing through sustainable and efficient biotechnologies.

Expanding applications with new joint development projects
We are proud to initiate two groundbreaking joint development projects targeting the sustainable production of widely used consumer products. These collaborations aim to integrate enzyme-based solutions into manufacturing processes, reducing reliance on traditional chemical methods. By focusing on these consumer-critical products, HydRegen is demonstrating the versatility, cost and environmental benefits of its technology across diverse industries.
Evaluating manufacturing for a high value chemical
In our pursuit to revolutionise active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) manufacturing, we are initiating work with a commercial partner to scale a specific manufacturing opportunity. This will accelerate the development and implementation of our Bio2Amine technology, aiming to reduce the environmental impact of API production by replacing traditional precious metal catalysts with sustainable alternatives.
This represents a critical step toward achieving sustainable medicine manufacturing, ensuring that pharmaceutical processes align with global environmental goals.
Establishing regulatory and sustainability working groups
Recognising the importance of compliance and environmental stewardship, we are forming dedicated working groups to navigate the complex regulatory landscape, as well as using the support of industry-experts to rigorously evaluate the sustainability benefits against traditional hydrogenation reactions for this API of interest.
These working groups will bring together industry experts and stakeholders to ensure our technologies not only meet regulatory standards but also set new benchmarks for sustainable chemical manufacturing.
Expanding our team with new technical talent
To support our growing portfolio of projects and technological advancements, we are actively recruiting skilled professionals at various technical levels. We are seeking professionals with advanced technological skills to help us progress to the next technology readiness level (TRL), ensuring our innovations are ready for broader implementation and commercialisation.
This expansion will enhance our research and development capabilities, driving innovation and efficiency across our operations.
Achieving the next 10-fold improvement
Building on our recent 30-fold improvement in enzyme manufacturing, we are setting ambitious targets for 2025. Our aim is to achieve the next 10-fold enhancements in enzyme production efficiency, further increasing our cost-competitiveness and broadening the applicability of our technologies across the chemical sector.
Fostering collaborations for innovation
In line with our commitment to collaborative innovation and building on our successful partnership with Almac Sciences, we are investing in shared equipment initiatives to facilitate joint research and development efforts.
By providing and sharing access to state-of-the-art facilities and resources, we aim to strengthen partnerships with academic institutions, industry leaders and other stakeholders, accelerating the development and adoption of sustainable chemical processes, and upgrading our own facilities.
